Using our years of experience in hand quality slate sign making we are now adding Corten steel signs to our range , again all designed and made by us in the Scottish Borders. Like slate , Corten steel is the real deal and will last a lifetime through all weathers. We use 2mm Corten which is much more rigid.

Please don’t compare these for acrylic signs , these are very hard and unlike acrylic they won’t warp in the sun.

When rust looks good

How it’s made:

Weathering steel is an alloy, which is what makes it so resistant to the elements. The addition of nickel, copper and chromium at the production stage means that over time, a protective patina will develop on the surface of the metal.
